Too bad the hippie sandwich techniques weren't copywrited.
Greatest form of flattery?

Although I've yet to hear one or indeed play one I think Ritter basses at least look good enough to be included in the finest European. basses.

I hope I get to try one out one day and hope they sound at least as good as they look.

+1 for the Ritters! This one's mine.

bunnybass always had a few Marleaux basses in their gallery. elegant and aggressive. I miss that site.

Jazzyee, Ritters sound even better than they look. I promise.
Here is one of mine:

That sure is a beauty. If that bass needs a holiday, I can provide a good home for it. :-)

Damn! Post more. You've got a Ritter w/ a tremolo bar?

Those Polish ones are nice. Especially the first one.

Is imitation still the finest form of flattery?
I found this company yesterday whilst looking for a source of knobs for my guitar and their descriptions of their build process, style and ethos regarding constructing and design of their basses sounds very similar to Alembic.

Thanks folks. I got this bass from PJ (owner of the Rio bass and a whole bunch of other Alembics). If you go to the website, you can find pictures of it and some will have PJ playing it before it was mine.
I also have this one:

I saw WojteK Pilichowski playing a nice burled Mayones 4 string at Bass day 2008. There's a picture of him down this thread. Monster player and a really nice tone. If I wasn't an Alembic player......
