It is too old. Give it to me, I'll take it off your hands
Hi Keavin, I hopey, Mica chips in and can give you some pointers to get no12 her voice back. Maybe it just needs a trip back to base for surgery. Let's I hope it's nothing serious and can be fixed as it would be a shame to have to retire such a beauty. However, if you decide to retire her, I have a perfect retirement home in England where she would be very welcome with no charge either. :-)

I've had issues with grounding when messing around with the electronics . . . at least that's what I think it is. All I know is that if the parts touch the shielded cavity the wrong way, I get no sound.
Thanks i'll have that checked out!
Did you try again with batteries?
yep.
WOW! Its great to see how these old alembic's worked. Is this bass Quadraphonic?!
Keavin,
I can tell you from experience that if something touches the shielded cavity you will in fact have that issue. I had it with my Europa when I owned it - the circuit board touched the cavity, and no sound. My solution was to take a bit of a matchbook cover and put it under the circuit board - voila, problem solved. You may want to try that.
