Is my Excel's bridge profile designed to accommodate conventional non-tapered strings, all-tapered strings, or something else. The reason I'm asking is that I have various and sundry 5 string sets, each with a single tapered B string. Now, this would not be a problem with a conventional (e.g. Hipshot) as I can raise the individual B string saddle for compensation without compromising the string height on the other 4. As it stands, if I were to install the tapered B and raise the bridge (bass side only), this action would kick my E string over and above the desired 3/32 (with diminishing effect on the A, D, and G).
Has anybody else noticed this and, if so, how do you deal with it? Thanks!

The best solution is to order a saddle blank from Alembic; then, using a needle file, file a new slot at an appropriate depth for the tapered B string. If you are not comfortable doing the work yourself, you could get a local luthier to cut the slot.
