I love this thing. I never thought I would enjoy playing a short scale bass. I bought it because I thought it was unusual and looked cool. Hmmm...that's how I met my wife too. (Message edited by mike1762 on May 08, 2008)
Nice, pretty amazing looking really and goes well with the room! I am guessing it is a maple top, the color and the flame work well together enjoy her!
Yes, it's a maple top.
Very nice piece. Enjoy it.
The black sets off the green very nicely on the back!
Dave, I suspect it's actually Dark green due to the back being mahogany i.e. harder to get a light green finish on then the maple front. Just guessing of course - it could very well be black.
Graeme
Graeme; you may be right. I've enlarged the picture several times now and still can't tell. Regardless, the effect is very nice!
It's dark green...it does look cool.
Very cool colour! I've considered a sea green / blue refinish of Blondie, my Series I shortscale, but decided not to because the aged varnish over maple looks great. These pictures made me think again, but I guess I'd better stick to my decision... I think! ;-)
