I just picked up this 5 string Essence Fretless! Hard to find the words to describe this one. It plays as good as it looks!

Any info you can provide would be appreciated!

Here's what I found out about your lovely bass:

serial number: 95K8887
model name: Essence
model number: KLB5F
top: Bird's-eye Maple
accent: Walnut pinstripe
body: Maple
neck: 5-piece Maple with 4 Walnut pinstripes
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony, lines fretless
pickups: Alembic MXY56
controls: "Essence" volume, pan, filter, mono output
originally made for: Gelb Music, CA
birthday: February 1, 1995

The original owner was in California and owned another Essence 4-string bass at the time.

Congratulations & Compliments Twocan. That's some fine-looking birds-eye maple there, not too much, not to skimpy - Just Right! ;D  And fretless too - Bonus Points! 8)

Looking forward to the Showcase Thread on that one.  ;)
