Hi,
I bought this bass used in about 1986 from Ace Music in Santa Monica. I wanted to know more about the history and materials etc of the bass. Thanks in advance.

Hi Geoff,

Well, this file doesn't tell me much of anything at all. In fact, there is 33% more information now that you have requested details!

All I know is:

wood: Maple
birthday: December 19, 1984

now I can add: purchased by Geoff in 1986 from Ace Music in Santa Monica

My guesses at the holes in the record are:
neck: 3-piece Maple, 32 scale
body: Mahogany
fingerboard: Ebony with pearloid oval inlays
pickups: AXY
controls: volume, filter, Q switch, pickup selector switch, mono output

These are the specs for a typical '84 Spoiler. If you post a photo, I should be able to confirm this better.
