Hello I am looking for any info on this bass. I have purchased and looking for the history of this item.
Congrats !
The bass is nice early example.

It's not in my hands yet. Should have it next week.
Congratulations! Are you looking to do any upgrades to it in the near future or are you planning to use it as is?
Once in my hands I will evaluate condition. But plans are to restore as close to original condition befor puttin it to use.
Welcome to the Alembic Club and congrats on getting a nice vintage Alembic. It'll probably take you about a half hour of noodling around on it to change your position to restore WHILE putting it to use.
I had a '74 that I got good use out of before sending it back to San Jose for TLC.
Just finished preliminary exam and workout. All of the electronics work fine and without any noise. The neck is straight and action also pretty good. There are a few dings and some buckle rash on the back. No cracking of the finish at all. The bass also sounds great. The only real issue I have is this god awfull sticker. A piece of it has come off and exposed the wood below as it also took the finish coat off with it. I need to get this sticker off.
Richard
Try gently heating it to melt the glue w/o ruining the finish
Thanks,
I just so happen to have the legendary master luthier, Randy Wood only a half hour drive from my home. I am taking it by his place to have him take a look. Randy is really a great guy and a master at what he does.
Here are pictures of 75-133 before and after sticker removal. My next tasks are the get her all cleaned up.

very,very beautiful indeed,
have fun playing her,

Congrats on getting the sticker removed! Looks great!
I am just glad the removal went well and actually better than my expectations. Randy Wood also repaired a portion of the finish that came off when the previous owner attempted to remove it. In looking at it you cannot tell if it was ever there. He really is a master at what he does and fortunate to have him almost in my back yard.
Richard
Great job! Beautiful bass with mojo. Enjoy and Play it Healthy! Art
Hey Richard! Glad to see a fellow Savannah-ian in the group! When you mentioned Randy Wood, I had to check. I live in Atlanta now, but Savannah is where I'll always call home. Congrats on this beauty!
The Bass looks much better now ! Congratulations_____
Hi Jerry! Its a small world indeed. You probably know Beaver Felton if your from Savannah. He and I both grew up playing together in various bands in the 70's .He and I were probably the first two Alembic owners in Savannah. Not sure if it was Beaver or I who were the first. I purchased a used 76 Series 1 LS and I believe he purchased his new. I parted from my old Alembic but always wanted another thus the reason for this purchase. Glad to meet you.
Richard
Indeed it is a small world. I know Beaver very well. We both played in Shut Up & Drive for awhile (at different times, obviously), and he's who I purchased my custom 5-string from (still being built). Check out the Shamrock in the FTC section. You probably know Mark Vaquer too. One of my best buds. Glad to meet you too.
Very nice. It's a keeper not many old ones that nice out there. Is it a 32 or 34?
Its a 34. Currently enjoying playing this one.
