Hello, I just became an offical Alembic Club member and I would like to know the history of this bass.  In particular, what is the body wood?

Welcome to the club, Steve.  Nice Epic.  Looks like walnut to me.

Looks like Walnut top and headstock w/Mahagony core, Purple Heart accend laminate, Ebony fretboard
