I have seen a series II shortscale bass on a website in Belgium. Could you please provide additional info about this bass. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a link to the site or a photo of the bass, there are knowledgeable members here who can give you some info before Mica has a chance to check her records.

I would be surprised if any Series bass was up for that price on this side of the pond.  :-(
 
There is a Series I one on sale at the moment here in Europe that is 8 yrs older than my Series II and is priced at more than I paid for my bass including the trip to USA to collect it.  
 
But... here's hoping.

Pierreyves, the one I have been considering is one on this site.  
It is called Europe  Series I in the Used Basses Section.
