I thought it was the same bass we spotted here in Roanoke a couple months ago, but this is a different one. Same specs though. Looks nice.

Nice condition for 37 years old.
Price went down today too.
If it's anything like my red one was (quilt maple over mahogany with the triple purpleheart stripes and ebony fingerboard), that may very well be a monster. A monster on steroids if you flip the AXY's for FatBoys.
Been there, done that. Worked in Spades.
AND . . . all the brass is CLEAN!

I'd forgotten it was long-scale. Indeed, a devastating combination... maple over mahogany, and three purpleheart laminates up the neck. AXY FatBoys too?
You Can't Go Wrong.
This one is 32" medium-scale I'm sure, just like my Persuader 5-string. And if I didn't have that bass and the 10 years of history and special connection to it, I'd make a play for this one.
The price on this one dropped to $3600, and it sold. Unsurprisingly. That was a very nice 5-string Alembic. I wonder if we'll see it re-emerge on the flip-side. (I'm legitimately curious...)
