I've been checking out that bass for quite a while. It would be my dream Alembic if it wasn't priced so high. I contacted him about it and was told it's a consignment item.

I've gone to that store many times over the last 25 years or so, and their prices are usually sky-high. Many instruments sit there forever. I remember when they had the so-called Stanley Clarke Ibanez prototype for sale for around $9000 or something silly like that.

Anyway, nice to bass to look at!

Is it just me, or does it only have one strap button?

You might get that much for it if it were in Europe, but even then it could be a bit on the pricey side for over here. The 2nd hand bass-market, this side of the pond, is definitely a buyers' market at the moment (on the whole).
