Yeah, I agree -- not as nut-bustingly pretty as the basses made after the early '80s, at least the ones I've seen, but still a really cool bass that comes pre-worn so I don't have to worry after the bass too much!
I thought I would mention for those of you who are interested in this bass that I've purchased a bass from this seller and he's a nice guy.

Actually I think the tips broke off on this one.

The tips on the above bass are damaged but Alembic did do some omega cuts like that.
