This looks like a fun instrument to play.
fretless Hohner (http://cgi.ebay.com/BARTELL-HOHNER-HOLLOWBODY-FRETLESS-BASS-RARE-MODDED-/160430590522?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Guitar&hash=item255a688a3a%20target=_blank)
Interesting , check out how high the bridge is set at.
The nut appears to be at an excessively high setting also.
Maybe it's set up for slide! :-)
Very cool bass despite the string height issues. Probably could be adjusted with no problem.
Oh if I only had the cash!
Slide ? Perhaps then some kind of open tuning as well ?

Look how far the Bass (neck ) position sticks up . I remember having played one of these in a pawn shop many Moons ago and something that I noticed was at how high the dimension are at the point where the neck meets the body . There is also something that I noticed as to how the union between the neck and body was made . The back of the Bass needs to be seen ! I think there may be a reason that the set up is as it appears ; perhaps it would be wise for a prospective purchaser to inquire about this issue .
The relative dimensions must be more similar to a standup than most other electric basses.
It would be nice to see some pictures of the action at the end of the fingerboard. Considering there is a zero fret I'm guessing the action at the nut is properly low.
I think that might be an accurate comparison.
