I'm curious about the neck pickup and electronics in this instrument.
I have no use for an electric 12 string, but I bet it sounds pretty cool!

The Modulus Blackstar I used to own had EMP active pickups and electronics from when it was new.
Intriguing,
That bridge assembly has lotsa parts!
(Here's the Modulus that has been tempting me- http://www.ebay.com/itm/112327544333 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/112327544333) )
ARRRGGGGGG!!!! Why did I have to see this? I am downsizing! It is headed my way now :)

Congrats! I can't wait to hear more about it!
It will be here Friday. One thing that is interesting so far, is that UPS has it as a 61lb box. Yikes!

I bet that it comes in a ridiculously heavy case, as my last Modulus from the early days did.
That road case does look pretty substantial. Very cool guitar. If I didn't have my '77 Series I 12 string, I'd have been very tempted by this one.
Bill, tgo

Wow! This is the brother of my modulus 12 scorpion....did you get it yet?

The guy I bought it from said he rejected the first version modulus made for him because it looked like bullwinkle instead of Greg Lake's scorpion bass. Could it be? Mine has a similar flight case too.
Yes, I got it. It probably is the brother, with 2 strap buttons. The case was an impressive 48 lbs. The guitar it self is only 7 lbs, and plays like a dream. Very low action, and is easy to play. Also looks brand new. A bit thin on the electronics though. I will probably put an Alembic rig in there to boost the bass end.
Cool, yours must be semi hollow too at that weight. I asked the og owner and he confirmed yours was the first one he got from modulus. He said they finished mine in 1985 so yours was probably 84.
Oh my, those are both luscious!!!
Peter
They both look like Bullwinkle. Don't get me wrong, there's not much wrong with Bullwinkle. Congrats on the purchase!
