So they expect someone to shell out $9,500 for an Ibanez that's such an amazing bass that Stanley Clarke, receiving it as a gift, got rid of it? I guess there's one born every minute!
Bill, tgo
hahahahaha, probably every 30 sec Bill!
We had a recent post about this in July 2010 (http://alembicguitars.net/club/messages/395/83485.html?1280689794%20target=_blank), with a link to Gbase (http://www.gbase.com/stores/gear/gearlist.aspx?keyword=ibanez+stanley+clark&temporary=True&m=250%20target=_blank).
Here's an even earlier thread, from February 2006 (http://alembicguitars.net/club/messages/449/24917.html?1139438163%20target=_blank).
Commissioned by Jeff Beck no less.
One off as in serial # 0001 and there are no others. Needs some electronics work but a good bass with a very comfortable neck and then there's the provenance ...
Hilarious!!!
For $9500 they could at least fix the electronics, eh?
Bottom line __ for $9500.00 I would rather buy an Alembic !
Money aside, if I had a bass collection I would want that one.
He states that there was only one. I remember seeing the pic on Stanly's album where it shows 2.
