Here is a good one for those of you totally flush with cash and nothing to spend it on!
I know nothing (Sargent Schultz) more, just happened to see it.

Yeah nice one! There's a thread on Talkbass also, where the owner answer some questions.
This Bass looks to be very desirable. From ergonomics to pickup choice, Brass block . This bass looks like it has got it ! Alembic Thunder ! The ability to cut through the mix will be a walk in the park providing your mind and hands will take you there .
I saw that yesterday and wondered about posting it here. It is indeed a superb bass and just my taste however the price is seriously optimistic. I suspect the seller is trying to recoup some of the refurb costs but that price is in the ball park for a very recent and decent series I or II bass. That would be an admirable partner for my S2 bass.
If it was in Europe, I'd be contacting the seller for negotiations.
He is searching for offers. Too bad it's not a 5 string I'd try to get him to a more realistic price!
My impression is that someone (hint -senior management?) is pressuring him to sell when he doesn't want to. Solution? List it for $9K. Hey honey, I'm trying to sell it. Listed it on cragslist and everything.
Bill, tgo
I think upper management would be a better term to use than senior management. I know my lovely wife wouldn't be too happy if I referred to her as a senior.

I am absolutely sure there is a thread on this bass somewhere on this forum. Seems like the spa treatment it received at the Mothership was a gift from the wife. I just hate to see someone, especially a fellow bass player, in a shape where they have to part with something like that.
Here's the showcase entry: http://club.alembicguitars.net/Images/411/90721.html (http://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=8532)
Let's just call her what she is CEO!
That is one exceptionally sweet bass even by Alembic standards. That top is an eye-popper.
