I think it's just great. I'm crazy for Quilt maple. I think the 5-string with the P/J Activators is a terrific alternative to the humbucking tone from the usual AXYs, FatBoys, etc. And the Elan with the inline Elan peghead is a little more traditional shape to go with these pickups, that vibe.
This pickup combination will require the 'classic' fingerboard/neck width which I really prefer to some of the ridiculously wide fingerboards that some people prefer for multi-string basses.
I would love to have one of these myself . . . .
IF you were in the market for this kind of shape with that P/J type tone, I'd GO for it, if the bass is suitable to you and in good shape.

Hi Joey,the bass in the picture is on sell and actually is owned by a guy that live in Sardinia(Italy).I know that guy and the bass is like new!Now I try to conact him to ask more photos so you can see the entire bass!Plus I'll search for other basses on sell about your preference....hope to find someone!Bye Joey.
