Would anyone be willing to give me an opinion of this Alembic for sale on Ebay:

Is the top Zebra wood?

This would be my first Alembic.

Not sure if it's zebra wood, if it is it's lighter than most. Still very pretty and, at $1200, a very good deal.

If you get it for close to that opening bid, that's a pretty good deal. Looks like zebrawood to me... could be the picture. I'd guess anything less than $1350. Good luck, hope you don't get sniped.

I'd guess it could be bocate as it's similar colour and look as my Europa but more straight grained.

Thanks for the input. I did not bid, but it did not sell. I sent the seller an email to see if I can make a deal.
