Looks more like (perhaps) schedua top and back, not koa top and walnut back.
Wow, I have triple omega JPJ with anniversary electronics now long scale now...I love the bass but I've sometimes wondered if the 32 scale would suit me better. That with the Series 1 electronics. Hmmm, should I try to sell my JPJ and go for this one? Tempting.
You should buy this one now and see which one you like better.
;)
Bill has it right. If money allows, it's always better to buy and try before letting go of the known quantity. Shorter scale lengths are awesome for a little extra speed or comfort moving around the neck.
Of course, if you are like most around here, you'll end up keeping both.
Yeah, really. What recession?
You mean there's a recession going on?
Not for me. I'm a government man. ;)
You mean you're officially in denial?
Well, my Alembics are worth more now than a year ago.
I can't say the same for my stocks.
I should have bought more Alembics!!
Same here Bill.
OO
PS. That bass is in your neck of the woods, maybe time for you to invest.
Beautiful. Really tempting !
My spare cash is sitting a few vintage Fenders.
I expect a serious ROI on those.
I hear ya! The old Fenders are very collector appealling.
Still this a good price on that S-1.
OO
I want to keep my Fenders and my wife just reminded me that she wants new windows and siding. Bye, bye sweet Series 1 opportunity!
Didn't sell yet ! Do you guys think there's a particualr reason or he's just out of luck ?
The market is tight.

No, I mean why it hasn't sold yet. I think ( for that little I know about Alembics )that the price is right and actually he's also accepting offers.
There is nothing wrong with the bass.
It takes a while, even in good times, to sell a $3700 instrument.
I see, thanks for the info.
After buying my first Alembic, recently, I'm boiling, I want another one ! haha
A Series bass will certainly scratch any Alembic itch you might have.
What strings are those???

Looks like Bill sold his bass.
Sorry to see it go, but it's going to a good home in NJ.
Sold ! Thank God ! ( my wife said )
