My '76 Series I guitar has the serial number on top of the headstock. I'm not 100% sure, and I'm not at home at the moment, so I can't check, but I believe my '77 Series I 12 string also has the serial number on top. This one sure looks like the real thing. 'Tis a puzzlement?
