Here we are, one year later. I do miss him very much. He still is a big part of our community here at the Alembic Club.
Yesterday I received a kind email from Paul's friend David that I would like to pass along:
Hi all friends of Paul .... yes, indeed it's already one year ago that Paul left us all into another Music World - hopefully the one which cares of us all !!!!
Many thanks of you all to remember him in Memorial Remembrance and Tribute of the Alembic Guitar.
Keep the circle warm ....

Yes, Paul is missed by all who knew him. Our Alembic Family was blessed to have him. He was a kind and gentle soul. We'll raise a glass of Zinfandel in his memory tonight.
To Paul!
I'll bang a bottle on the table in Paul's memory.
Bill, tgo
Yesterday evening, I had put my stockings on at home and raised a good Schoefferhofer Hefeweizen in rememberance of Paul...
cheers, Christian
Paul!
To Paul !
I - V, I - V, I - V, I - V, I - V, ...
He is missed.
Keith
Indeed he is.
To Paul...
He reminds me of a different time. I was a first time father and first time Alembic owner...new to both and the club as well. He embodied everything this place was about - comradery, compassion and good natured ribbing. It was somewhere to come for information and to share experiences and stories with people with whom you had a common bond - a love for music and Alembics. He may have had his stockings always at the ready but he never got his knickers in a twist.
He is missed...
It is only a cup of tea, but, I raise it to you my friend.......
Hi Paul; thinking of you with our friends.
I chugged down a 40oz of Old English 800 malt liquor for my man!
A day late - but BBT was raised in honor and respect, followed shortly by a second!
BBT = Blatz Brown Triangle - kinda like Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) but it's brown and has a triangle logo and is a Blatz :-p
Paul is a good friend I never met, and always wanted to...
Mike
Mine was also a cup of tea.
To Paul
A bit TOO late i'm afraid, but i raised a glass as well for Paul (aka Palembic).
I DO KNOW that i'm not much of a poster here, but i DO realize that Paul was a member who was VERY popular here (and elsewhere, i'm sure!).
God bless you, Paul!!
Grtz,
Bassplayer
Just yesterday, I had a glass of Lindemans kriek beer - cherry scented lambiek - not sure about the exact relation between lambiek and alembic, but there must be something. (Also, lambiek is one of the beers that can improve with age.)
I seem to remember Paul was related to the brewery family. Very nice, artisanal beer - tasted like real cherries - sweet and sour.
To life, to Paul!
Hi Paul; thinking of you this evening.
Happy Birthday Paul!
I just got a Skype message that it's your birthday. It's just turned June 15 over on your side of the Atlantic, and I guess your account is still active. It was a bit of a surprise at first, but then I guess it's just like you to pull something like that!
So happy birthday my friend. You continue to be an influence and inspiration to so many of us here at the club; and we thank you for that.
Cheers!
Happy Birthday indeed!!. It is about dinner time around here, I'll raise a glass of Scotch in your name!
Happy Birthday!

I can't begin to keep track of how often Paul's words and/or attitude pop into my head as I go about my daily business. Of course, most of it I am compelled to keep to myself!
Hope the family is doing well, and that Broomstick and Bonnie are getting plenty of love..
John
Cheers!
I find myself constantly quoting Paul's mantra:
There will always be another.
He was a wise and wonderful human being and I feel very lucky to have met him in person when he graced us with his presence at the Northern California Gathering.
Bill, tgo
Lifting a morning glass of tea and having thoughts of Paul this morning. Blessings to his family at this time of year.
Kenn, I raise my coffee cup to meet yours.
Paul, thank you again for touching our lives.
Cup raised here as well ________

It's a little early yet for a glass of the good stuff, but here's to Paul! Every time I look up an old thread, there he is with his usual feisty wisdom. He surely lives on in all of us!
Bass Brothers AND Sisters!!,
Raising a glass along with you!!
Peace!!
Regards,
Bassplayer

Inspired by New Glarus's Abt & Lost Coast's Brother Thelonius, as well as by Mr. Lindemans, I am trying to work up a recipe for a Trappist Quadruppel ale; if it turns out well, I'm planning on naming the recipe Brother Paul (I'm trying do it so that certain malts will have ratios of 1:5, 1:5).
Peter
Long may we continue to celebrate the memory of Paul!
Peter that is awesome. :-D
As fate would have it tonight is poker night with the boys . . . I certainly shall bang a bottle for Paul.
Paul TDO & TSO
Here's to Paul! I'd love to raise a glass of Brother Paul to brother Paul, Peter! Great idea! I'm glad that he's still remembered.
With a tear in the eye; to Paul!
A fine Sangiovese raised in respect.
To Paul...
Off to home, and to toast Brother Paul.
I dedicated friday night's gig to paul. Got some bemused looks from the rest of the band but it made me feel good. He's still missed.
Graeme
A correction - Brother Thelonius is by North Coast; Lost Coast makes Alleycat Amber.
Peter
Let's raise a glass, to Paul!
Cup Raised to Paul !
On this SuperBowl Sunday I will raise a glass of a good brew, think of our friend Paul, the bad one, bang it on the table, and hope that the elusive 3rd arm appears for the Niner's quarterback!
Bill, tgo
Cup raised here!
To Paul and his faithful companion, Bonnie!
Boy, you west coast guys are hitting the sauce awful early! I think Paul would like that.
Here's to Brother Paul TBO! May his warmth, humanity and humor invest all of us today!
Mike
hear, hear!
For our friend Paul, he sure had a way
of lightening things up around here.
He sure is missed.
Here's banging another beer bottle on the table, in memory of Paul. Please be patient while I try some stocking on
cheers, Christian
My Brother Paul reciepe has yet come to fruitition, but I did raise a glass of Abbey Normal.
Peter
Thank you again Paul! You warm our hearts, put smiles on our faces, and bring a tear to the corner of the eye. You still give us so much. May we pass on to others that which you have given to us.
It's difficult to believe 4 years have passed. It only feels like yesterday we were exchanging emails or indulging in friendly banter on here. Thinking of a great friend always.
Graeme
To Paul!
To Paul! Always in our thoughts.
Graeme
To Paul!
Put on a stocking and bang a bottle for Paul, tbo.
