These are a bit better then my 'introduction' photos. I dressed her up a bit with new strings and I re-worked the truss rod plate. It had some bad corrosion on it. Now sanded and buffed out. I may work on the tail piece too- this has a varnish coat on it that just has not stood up to the test of time (like the truss rod cover plate). I like the bare metal with age patina better. The truss rod plate will get that over time now (like the bridge- which did not have varnish).

Hello, I am the new owner of your Alembic Bass. Thank you for taking such great care of her. She's a beauty in every way.
God bless you
Rudy
Rudy,
Welcome to the club. Lots of good people here with plenty of knowledge about these great instruments.
Keep it low and stay outta treble!
That's a good looking bass. I've never tried Alembic PJ pickups. Need to give them a try some time.
Welcome. Enjoy. I liked Paulo's line "Keep it low and stay out of treble".

Plagiarized from Chalie, another club member. Tis a fun phrase! 😃
No pics, no bass... Or maybe a vid will do? :-)

Congratulations & Compliments. I saw the review the guys at Norm's did on that bass a couple-three weeks back and posted on it.

Just ran across that video in my youtube feed!

Maybe more appropriate for an "Artist and their Alembics" topic. But here's one from the Activator brochure, I guess from the Aria endorsement days:
Ha! There's a blast from the past.....a Telex number at the end of the brochure. The ships I sailed on back in the day would use Telex to communicate with the office ashore.
