Saw mention of that in the news yesterday.  1963 would indeed be an interesting point between Favorite Things and Love Supreme, and with the "classic lineup".

Just listened to Crescent (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOwW9j0YzgM), the title tune of their 1964 album.  A wonderful work that precedes A Love Supreme.
