This was a recent volcano in Chile. All that stuff spewed into the sky apparently reacts with lightning in dramatic ways, described here as a dirty thunderstorm. (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/05/photogalleries/volcano-photos/index.html%20target=_blank) There's another cool shot here (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=563975&in_page_id=1766&ito=1490%20target=_blank), and you can enlarge these somewhat.
This (http://megagalerias.terra.cl/galerias/index.cfm?id_galeria=30734%20target=_blank) appears to be the most complete set. Unfortunately I am not equipped to read the text, but it appears to be a gallery posted by the photographer. Amazing stuff.
I know that I'm not, but if anyone here is good with Photoshop, it would be great to see the hand of the logo in this shot.

I used the headstock to the COTM thunder and lightning...

It's a volcano eruption in southern Chile. The ashes reached my town, Buenos Aires. A two thousand kilometer distance. Imagine the size of the eruption... They posted that pic in the front page of the papers here.
wow too bad ya cant save the ones from the newspaper
