Hi everyone, Im new here , I happened on a very cool photo of Owsley Stanley from 1967, taken by Ron Rakow ! I hope I am posting
this in the right section :-X
looks he's gotta buzz on
🗿😶🌫️😵😵💫🤯
I find it amazing that, though Bear was an integral and influential (on many levels) part of such a highly-photographed scene, this is only the 4th of 5th shot of him I've ever seen.
Thanks, Phillip.

Just arrived after a long day's work at the lab ;)
Is that Phil playing bass in the background?
Yes - you can see Billy & Phil between the chick & the bearded dude, and quite possibly Jer over Bear's right shoulder.

Thanks. That has to be Jerry. I didn't notice him there at first.
Might see clearer now
it'll be pretty tuff work to photoshop out that buzz.
so sayeth the old stoner on his way to a pre-dawn hash 'n soak.
🗿🤯😵😵💫🫥🛸🧓🤠
Bear was very photo resistant.
The Morris Museum had a Jay Blakesberg show during 2022. I used my phone to take a snap of his portrait of Owsley. The information read "Owsley Stanley III – June 3, 1999 – Grateful Dead Head Headquarters-Novato, Ca."
I was introduced to "Bear" by a band member at I gig that I was playing bass at many decades ago in La Honda ,CA.
As well two friends of Ken Kesey were present who later invited me the the Kesey House later on . Bear did not attend at that time and Ken was in Oregon at the time .
