This brought a smile to my face, a tear to the eye, and warmed my heart. Enjoy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOC9danxNo&feature=player_embedded)!
Very cool (though the music was recorded on earth). Begs the question - how does weightlessness effect truss rod adjustment?

Saw a blurb on the news this AM about it going viral. Thanks for the reminder to listen to it entirely. Nicely done for the available studio on that ride!
Ah bummer, not recorded on site. thanks Bill ;-)
I figured with all the available apps for the iPad and such that he could had done that production :-)

Art; I think the vocal was recorded (http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/the-real-star-man-david-bowie-champions-canadian-astronaut-chris-hadfields-space-oddity-cover-8613787.html) on the space station. He returned to Earth just this morning. And interestingly, the keyboard player on the piece was once a member of Bowie's band.
The guitar and vocal were recorded in space, the rest on planet. (or at least that's what it says in the end credits on the video).

Even Steve Vai can't twirl a guitar like that.
Thanks for posting that! very cool version of the song and Hadfield has a good voice for that song; combined with the amazing visuals, it's quite affecting...Tony. makes me proud to be Canadian.
