Some of you know that I've had this bass for a while and asked for pictures. I finally got around taking some and here they are.
This is an oil finish. Sounds great of course.
Other than for the top, you may notice a striking similarity to the woods in this other beauty.

Val,
Stunning! If you have some spare time in the shop, put a heart omega on mine. Thanks;)

i thought alembic wont oil coco bolo
Hi Ed,
Thank you for the compliment.
In regards to the Heart Omega, I left Alembic at the beginning of the year so you'll have to ask Mica about changes to your order.
Hi Jeff,
this is a shop night instrument, so it's not subject to production restrictions.

That's an amazing bass! Wow!
Val:
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! I love the non-continuous other wood backplates. Very cool! I hope to get the chance to see and hear it in person. Play in the best of health.
Bill, tgo
Val, that Bass is beautiful beyond words. Your Basses are true works of art and raise the bar even by Alembic standards.
WOW!!!!!!!!
Val,
What's the extra switch do?
John
The oil finish looks great. BTW a while back you had one made with a wooden nut in an effort to have the open strings sound more like the fretted strings, IIRC. How did that work out?
Sam
that is a sweet bass dude
lovely.
Hi Bill,
thank you , I am sure we'll have chance to meet at some point & I'll be able to hear your latest as well.
Hi Rami,
thank you for the compliment, you're very kind.
Hi John,
glad you like it, the extra switch is for side leds, they are blue.
Hi Sam,
the ebony nut works great on the fretless, that's what I have on it at the moment. The open strings do sound more like the rest.
I like the look of the oil finish & it's easier to maintain, not to mention that it's much faster & cheaper to do.
BTW, this is tuned like a guitar without the high E, so it's EADGB, low to high.

Very cool!!
