Here's a clip of Ornette from 1986. Every time I saw him, it was a pair of Steinbergers, but as far as the recording allows, I like the Alembic sound in this context!

There was a pic in the New York Times last month of Ornette playing in the city, and McDowell was in the background playing his Spoiler.
