I post a link thats a mile long. I know I saw a convention to shorten the link. Can you help me out how to do it?

Haven't done it myself yet, but try searching (here) for tinyurl or maybe tiny url as two words. I vaguely think it was described by fc_spoiler, but I may well be wrong about that.

type in this...

`link { link , your word }

but remove the spaces (tried to post this without the spaces and it did the formatting. Doh!

Thanks all!! I tried it out on the seen on ebay OHAGAN link and worked great! It was right in front of my face!! DUH!!!!!
