I don't know anything about them but I do remember seeing an article about this thing in Guitar Player mag back in the late seventy's or so.

I putzed with one of those at NAMM in '81.  It was pretty neat and sounded about like what you'd expect.  I don't think I'd pay that much money for one though.

Andy Summers from the Police was playing one in the Syncronicity II video, I think there is a bass version as well.
