Hey All
Im working on puttig something new togther that is a grateful dead based jam band.
We pretty much have the name narrowed down to two choices, and I wanted to get some input from my friends here on the alembic board on them.
The choices are:
Comic Book Colors and Sonic Daydream
Thoughts?
I like Comic Book Colours...!
Greg
Hey Greg!
I'll second Comic Book Colours. I see the other name and immediately think of a Sonic Youth cover band.
Im still trying to get a dead-based band to use the name Sweet Suzie and the Losers..... any takers?!?
On a ViolinRiver
We will have to share a billing someday.

COMIC SONIC COLORBOOK DAYDREAM COLOURS !
I thought Dead Based was pretty much spot-on.
I sometimes thought a good Dead based name would be Stella Blue, of course, from the Garcia titled song. Wake of the Flood, one of my favorites too.
My last Dead band was August West.
Bill, tgo
Pride of Cucamonga always sounded like a good band name to me.
Smokinbear..........
Sorry i also meant to add i like the comic book colours(ors)
I used to know a band named The Dead Guise, which a I thought was catchy. Plus they were a great Dead cover band! Plus they were all guys.
Speaking of August West, is that him on guitar in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20dic8S3cWI)?
Check out that crazy Pete dance! Thanks for posting that (http://club.alembicguitars.net/Images/449/73856.gif)
Hateful Fred? You know, kinda punky, pissed-off jam band?
Best country band name yet to be claimed: Green Hay.
Do Dead stuff with a metal edge & call it Tons of Steel.
Peter
How about:
American Beauties
Boxes of Rain
How many Deadheads does it take to change a lightbulb?
12,001. One to change it, 2,000 to record the event and take pictures of it, and 10,000 to follow it around until it burns out.
ah..huh!
