Stumbled onto this Bass at the last Dallas Guitar Show and never let go of it when I got hold of it. Love at first sight, I have always wanted one, I had paid for it in the first 3 minutes, and the guy didn't even want to let me plug it in to give it a feel.God what an amazing sound. I've been playing jazz basses for all this time and been blind to the series 1 short scale. I had to pull the truss rod cover. Now to find the proper amp rig to match the bass. 81-1832usa

Very Nice Sigurd.
BTW, welcome to this club. It always amazes me how many Alembic/Jazz-bass players there are. Likewise for me!

If you allow me a step-up to higher tonal ranges, please tell me what the nice jazz-guitar is peeping around the corner?

Paul the bad one

Don't be afraid, in a couple of moments there will be a gang of other dudes coming in and yelling welcome, it is absolutely normal: fine instruments are owned by fine people! We have loads of them here  (oh ...and fine instruments too!!! LOL)

That would be a Blonde Johnny Smith in the background 73 that is a true love as well.

I usually go to that Dallas show too.  It is a good thing I didn't go!  I would have been tempted too.  I have been trying to keep myself from buying more basses.  In fact, lately I have been selling off some.

Good find!!

Lucky You!  That is a handsome instrument.  Really, I haven't seen an Alembic that I didn't like.  I know that I'm preaching to the chior.  I think in this case, its acceptable.  Welcome to the gathering.

Nice find, Sigg.

Mine is an '80 version just like yours. Check out how she will mature in my pic - Another Little Blonde.
