Okay, I just did the math.  You got that bass when you were 16?!!!   I'm impressed.  And jealous.  When I was 16 I was learning how to play Brickhouse on a Crestline P-Bass copy.  I shoulda held out for something like what you have and started out on School Days or Lopsy Lu

Good taste on buying and keeping that bass!

Peace,

Wow!  It looks great.  I love the original ones that have been played and you know they haven't been stored in a damp basement for 11 years of their life.  Congratulations.  I like the placement of the logo on the point, too.

Beautiful bass, Keavin.  Good for you for hanging onto it for so long.  You don't want to part with it now, it's an heirloom.

Is there a guitar show that one can enter their axe for display,or just for show-off?,or for historical knowledge, i'd like to put (old #12) in a show or somthing of the sort, anybody got any dimes they wanna drop?

Detroit just recently opened up a Hard Rock Cafe.  At one point in time I considered letting them display 87-4431, since it used to belong to Stanley.  They wanted it for a lot longer than I was willing to part with it, so no deal.  Actually they would've preferred to buy it, but that wasn't even up for discussion.  If there's one near you, they may consider it.  My understanding is that these are local management calls.
