This lovely guitar stopped by for a brief visit yesterday to have the battery clips reconnected.

Burl Brazilian Rosewood to die for.

We didn't take very many pictures in 1997, so when I get a chance to document some earlier work, I jump on it.

Wow, that's beautiful, I love the shape too!

Surprising that it's a '97; looks much newer.  And yes, beautiful guitar!

Body looks like a combination of a Standard Point and a Spoiler. Hum-canceller must be mounted inside?

Yes indeed, that wood is really something!

Agree about the shape, really nice. Also thought it was newer at first glance. Must admit I am not usually that big a fan of burled wood but what an exquisite piece of Rosewood! Would love to have an instrument with a top like that Rosewood is great sounding wood.

Any chance you took a shot that includes the headstock? The electronics are interesting, too. Looks like a Series II without the humcanceller.

I knew this looked familiar.  I think this one on the forum is the same guitar and has more photos.

Almost 20 years old...timeless excellence...

Hi trying to find out when the rosewood top was sourced by Alembic for this ?

Pre 1992 post 1992 ?

If pre 1992 and I bought it from N California would Alembic be able to provide a letter of indemity to allow a CITES compliant import to the U.K.

While I have excellent records of our builds, I'm afraid I can't trace down wood sources that are this old. I do know that we purchased this wood when we were on 45 Foley Street, and we moved in 1989. However, we wouldn't be able to provide business records of this transaction like an invoice.

Since only the 25th Anniversary model, this guitar and a handful of others were made with Brazilian Rosewood, I have not done any CITES exporting of this species, so I have no experience with the particular documentation required. If a letter stating this is adequate, then yes, I would be happy to provide this for you should you acquire the guitar.

Interesting, i wonder if it is the same person from the UK who is interested in buying my Series I Dragon magic guitar.
