Wow!  amazing how the wood grain follows the body  style. very handsome indeed!

sonicus

I love the way that the wood grain is converging toward the point .

I said in November that walnut would be spectacular when the finish hits it. I just love being right ;-)

The small point is a great idea and looks great with those neck laminations!
I see the routed cavity for a center dummy pup. Just wondering, and not to spoil any confidentiality, is this going to be a Series Custom? (I or II).

No; I don't have the money for the  series electronics , but I did spring for the prep upgrade. Maybe latter, but for now I,m going with the anniversary electronics. Thanks for asking.    Ray.

rjmsteel

Very cool. Nice idea on the prep; the Anniversary elecs. will be great. I currently have a custom in the works which will be loaded with Anniversary electronics myself.

Thanks,  all you good folks for your great comments. I am normally a rather conservative sort of guy , but I am starting to drool a little myself. I know better than to try to rush things, but I can't wait. I will use this eight string a great deal.   Ray.

Here's what I was telling you about on the phone today, Ray:

Beautiful!!!  That top is very unique; as is of course the headstock!  I love the figuring in the wood!

Oh my,
 Congrats...totally amazing !

sonicus

Congratulations ,  I am sure the sound will be as good as the aesthetics , Awesome !

raynbass

can't wait; my ears have been hearing eight string on at least half a dozen songs my band performs.  we are gearing up for the summer season here on the CT. shoreline. This baby's going off to work and I'm sure she's going to be perfectly happy to do so. My goal was to build a rugged stage safe instrument with the sound that only Alembic can produce, and of course Alembic has taken that, much further. much Thanks Alembic; I'll play it heartily.     Ray.  ps.  thanks again to all for all the good words.
