I have an Alembic custom guitar. 1986 strat style. serial#86E415. 24 fret, neck through, figured maple and mahogony, three pickup (2 single, one humbucker, Alembic active electronics, 5 way selector switch, Khaler locking tremelo. It's in excellent condition. Any way of determining it's value?

Welcome to the club.  The E in your serial number usually means it's an Electrum, but your description of a Strat like shape and neck through construction sounds more like a California Special.  Either way fair market value is probably in the $1600-$2500 range, depending on condition.  Pictures would very much help in identifying the guitar and determining value.

I think Electrums are neck-throughs. 86 I think means it is a little after the usual run of Electrums and may well be a custom made one for a specific buyer.

Yes, pictures please!

Electrums are, indeed, neck throughs.  My first Alembic was an Electrum.   I meant to write that the strat shape and kahler sounds like a California Special.  Looking forward to seeing some pics.
