On the ones we used originally, we had to make our own diffusers, which turned out to be pretty hard. The new components have the diffusers built in, and they are more effective than the ones we made, plus I like to run the current lower so they aren't so bright.

Toned down since when?  I'm hoping my new bass has the same blue LED experience as my existing Rogue's blue LEDs.  I find them quite nice.

Brian, yours are the new ones which for us new translates into a good many years. The ones on your bass that's under construction should match what you already have.
