Was this bass built this way?  Im trying to figure out what type of output can be used. Looking at some pictures, I see two output or possibly a power input and one output(?)...   Is this bass going to require an external power supply?  Also, I see what looks like a bunch of switches.

Congratulations. From the pictures it looks like a Series 2 and then some. You can run off batteries with the 1/4 plug but they won't last long or power any neck LED's. You really need a  DS5 power supply or a blue box. You will also need a special cable with XLR connectors on it. Sometimes people here have extra power supplies and/or cables so posting a request on the Wanted  Wishing and Watching list would be a good idea. Otherwise you can purchase the power supply and cable directly from Alembic. You can reach them here.

For clarification, this is NOT a Series bass; a Series bass would have a 3rd dummy humcanceling pickup in the middle.
 
What this is is a particularily awesome, decked out Signature Deluxe with a Custom electronics package -consisting of Anniversery electronics and added (custom) 4-position bass & treble boost/flat/cut switches for each pickup.

You are correct it is not a Series. I got hung up on the 5-pin. However it could have had a hidden dummy pickup. Without a picture of the back it would be hard to tell without the build thread that Tom posted.

Uh, duh... well, yes, your are correct sir, it could have been a Series with a hidden dummy, as you say!
 
Wasn't trying to put you down, or anything... it sure looks like a Series and all... especially with the 5-pin jack!!!
 
With the Anniversery electronics and the upgraded bass & treble controls for each pickup, this should be able to give a Series bass a run for the money!!!

I just received this bass and was able to play for a little bit through my practice amp. The active output this bass puts out is incredible!
 
 
 
I have only one issue, if I flip the switch located next to the 1/4 out to the down position, I lose audio for the Bridge pickup, but audio is still good for the Neck pickup.
 
When I flip that switch to the up position, the audio is VERY low unless I wiggle it down a little(I do not switch it all the way down, I just push it downward a fraction until audio returns to normal volume on the bridge pickup.)
 
Any Ideas??

Try excercising the switch - flip it on and off a good 20-30 times in case there's a speck of debris to dislodge.

The switch is the stereo/mono switch. In the stereo position (seems like the down position you indicate), you'll only get signal from one pickup if you use a mono cable.  
 
When you describe the low output in the up position, is the signal from both pickups low? What I mean is, if you are in the low output position and rotate the pickup selector switch, are the pickup volumes the same (positions 2 and 4) provided that the volume knobs are both turned all the way up?
