Hi Kimberley, a question if I may. Is it possible to slap and pop on bass if you play bass with the lowest string closest to the floor?
I can't imagine that being an easy thing to do.

Jazzyvee; shows a bit of her technique.  If you watch all the way through you'll see a variety of really cool left hand techniques.

Wow !
Thanks Dave for bringing this clip to our attention. It will never cease to amaze me how our forum member with the highest smiley density in posts can play the bass. Obviously, I shall convert my basses to upside-down, it looks sooo much easier  now where to find a nut and a bridge ?

cheers and all the best in 2013,

I Love watching Kimberley play the upside down 6 string, she makes it look so effortless. I have a soft spot for watching and learning from amazing people who overcome come what some might think as a disability and create Magic!

OMG - Kimberley!
That was some greasy, funky stank! (that's the good kind!)

Marcus who?  :-D

I am sure it has been posted somewhere before - but - What does she use for looping?

David Houck

Paul; I imagine that she's still using her .  That picture is from May, 2010; so her setup may be different now.

Here are a couple of silly pictures from a New Years Eve gig I did with a great guitar player named Scott Law a couple of years back.  Kooky! (hopefully I haven't posted them before)

Two Alembics!  Right on!  (Scott's playing his custom Further Owl - COTM 2006).

Dave - thanks for the reply.
Keith - it looks like Scott and yourself have far exceeded the fun factor! :-D

That must be so rare to get more than one alembic on a gig!

I love Scott! I've gotten to do a couple shows where our bands shared the bill and he sat in with us. Great player.

The top on that shorty is just stunning!
I miss my SI already, but I'm really glad it's in Pierre-Yves hands. I need to find my dream medium scale.
