I own a 1998 Epic and was wondering if I could switch a different neck, short scale maybe, with less fret spacing? How much would this cost for a similar neck  replacement.?

It's not really practical because the bridge position will also have to change. A modifiaction like this could easily exceed $1000 and that kind of money is probably better put to use toward a new or used short scale bass.

Then where is my good deal on a short scale bass and who wants my monster EPic
