Got sent this photo from the Bob Marley Tribute band I did a few gigs with this summer.
The guitarist is a guy I used to be in a band with back in the mid 90's when I was also playing guitar. I hadn't done a a gig with him since back then and great to get on stage with him again. We had a good musical bond.

The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

Using my "Back Saver"....my Alembic Darling.

Nice shot of the bass!  You're playing outside?

Is that a Fender Rumble in the background?    That's the real back saver right there.    I love mine.    My finest amp purchase ever.

Re: Fender Rumble... no idea what it weighed because I never moved it, but that was the amp I played through in the practice studio last year. If memory serves, it was a Rumble 350, basically a 210 combo. I was mightily impressed by it. No idea what the specs were, but plenty of boom for that space.

Rumble was during a period when I could not lift my regular rig due to back issues.  Nothing replaces an F1X or F2B with a good power amp and a Genzler 12" Array cabinet for me.  I have been using a GR Bass 12" combo lately for hard to load in or small stage gigs.  It only weighs 19 lbs!  It does the job admirably.
Yes, outdoor gig when that photo was taken.  I often play outdoors for festivals, wineries, street fairs, or some restaurants.
That black Darling is indeed short scale, and has been great for my back.  I have a second one in mutant maple in production at the moment, and would love to get it soon because it has the neck dimensions specific for me.  Here is a photo of Bob holding it just out of spray.
