It is indeed. I bought it from a forum member in 2005 so it would be good to be able to pass it on to another member.

A bass player on Facebook living in Vietnam wants to buy my bass and has given me the address if his friend's music shop in California that I can send the bass to. Anyone know of it in Westminster California?

Westminster is an area in Orange County just south of LA.  In fact, you'll be about 10 miles from there when you play Anaheim on August 26th...  This neighborhood is referred to as "Little Saigon" (even by Google maps) because of its large Vietnamese population.  So although I don't know how shipping a bass from the UK to the US gets it any closer to Viet Nam ... I would say that contact info is most likely legit.

Thanks Jimmy, i guess the shop will forward it on to Vietnam via their preferred shipping company, but then that's two lots of shipping and insurance costs for the buyer.  But I will try to find out how much it would cost for both places and let the buyer choose, if they are serious. Interesting that since I posted my message about an interested buyer, a member of is forum from the USA has also expressed interest. So we shall see what transpires.

Still unsold so offers considered or trades for a different alembic model with cash either way. I'd be interested in alembic models i don't currently have with preferences on vintage series, spyder/exploiter, excel, 8 string. Spectrum guitar. Preferably from the UK for logistical reasons.

I'm in an interesting dialogue with a guy originally from Sri Lanka but living in the UK he is interested in my bass and wants a specific sound from it. He sent me some video links to the sound and i've got what I think is close and sent it off to him so will see in a moment what he thinks.
The bass samples he sent are all on epic basses with bass and treble so will sound different to the europa with filters.
Anyone else had that challenge when selling a bass?

I have another interested party. He is travelling down from Lincolnshire later this week to check it out with a view to buy. Although I don't play it much it was my first alembic 5 stringer and so easy to use live especially the boost cut switches.

I think I know what you mean. I have sold quite a few instruments over the past few weeks, and got that many more to go. At the end of it, (hopefully) I'll be healthy and debt-free. And still have more guitars than I could possibly need with what music I have left to play.

Now it's gone I feel strangely quite relaxed about it, so it was clearly the right thing to do.
