Seems like your metallica tribute band has been active for a long time. When did the band start and how long have you been in the band?

The band started when I joined and the band became a tribute band. (in august 2006, time flies...)

It's recorded direct into the laptop with a Line6 Pod Studio GX interface, Pod Farm 2.0 Ampeg style model. (Daw = Ableton Live)

On stage again for the first time in a little over a year (due to unbeatable Series II) :-)

My favorite was the snappy sound of the 1988 Spoiler. The Europa sounds more professional. The Elan has a nice wood grain.

19 years on and both in good nick it seems.

Recovering from some tonedeafness after all the recording/editing/mixing, I agree with the snappy assertion :-)
Forgot to put this in the description:
All basses have the filter(s) wide open, Spoilers Q on , Elan Q in middle position (with only the J pickups used) and the Europa has the CVQ at +/- 25%  (bridge and neck pickups both used on all basses)
Europa is recorded mono from the DS-5
For the comparison, I edited all basses to one track. So they all go through the exact same processing from that track. (Compressor and limiter from Ableton Live + Line 6 Pod Farm)
