Bass Face is real.   I genuinely believe you groove better whilst making Bass Face.

I'm not actually playing it, but I thought this was a cool pic with my Distillate Exploiter in it. Taken at the beautiful recording studio where my new-ish original band Doctor Crypto ( https://www.facebook.com/doctorcryptochicago ) rehearses and records - Pressure Point Studios in Chicago's south loop. We're finishing tracking of 7 new tunes tonight. I used the Alembic on 4. The other 3 are 8 string Ric. That's our keys/2nd guitar guy Rodney behind the Kurzweil.

That studio has a cool vibe.

Nice action shot!  And the pants are cool!

jazzyvee

Thanks, the pants came from your side of the pond when i was on tour last summer. This was the first time i'd worn them since buying them.

Jazzy I have to state the obvious.  The overwhelming majority of us could never pull off wearing those pants.  However, you do it with ease, grace, and a coolness that makes me jealous. And I'm not just suggesting that most of us couldn't pull it off today because our age.  We couldn't do it regardless of the number of time we've been around the sun. 8)

From last night, first gig I also used another bass than the SII since I got it a year ago :-)

It was great weather here this weekend, but possibly one of the last warm weekends of the year, so I set up a (ridiculous) Wall of Sound / Phil Lesh tribute while I still could.

Wow that's a great collection of barefaced cabs. I've moved over to their 12' speaker cabs a few years back and they are superb. Best cabs i've ever played bass through.

Thanks Jazzy!  Totally agree, their 12" ones are probably my preference too.  I've seen your BF rig in another post; looks awesome.
They're great for guitar as well!  Since they're FRFR, you can run anything through them, just depends what preamp/modeler/amp you use.
The 10" line is great too, just more specific to bass.

And the low weight... wow, what a difference between them and pretty much any other cabs I've played through; it's terrific.  Even just setting up that photo with anything other than BF would have probably sent me straight to the chiropractor (or the hospital)  ;D

I quite fancy a used One10T cab to make a compact practice and rehearsal setup with my old mesa walkabout head. What is your impression of one with an alembic, and what configurations of your cabs make up your main gigging setup?

Great shots Flip!

And nice mini wall of sound Mike!
