Much as I hate to say something nice about Fox, they led into a commercial break in the 'Niners-Packers game with a bit of "Estimated Prophet"!

We noticed it too.  Someone working the telecast is a Dead Head.  They often use Dead tunes for the bumper music.  Hell of a game, though it may have cost me a year or two off my life!

hehehehe

Asking because I'm curious... haven't watched a sporting event (or any other broadcast television) for about 20 years, so I wouldn't know... did they use a studio recording or a modern rendering of it?

(What little bit of recording I do anymore is bumper music and backing tracks for radio commercials.)

Bill:  Really?  i hardly ever watch football anymore (and mostly just watched the Bears when I did watch), so this was my exposure to it.  And when I commented, Senior Management (who should know better after 41 years) asked "Are you sure?"

Greg:  It sure did sound like the Terrapin Station version.  But it was just a snatch.

Interesting! It would be fun to know whose call that was. Agree; definitely inside Deadhead informed. And you'd about have to be like-minded to recognize it.
