I just saw the story, as well.

Not only do I think hew as a better player & singer than Timothy B. Schmidt, I think it was absolutely criminal that they accepted the Kennedy Center Honor with TBS, but not Randy (Randy - all 5 classic albums; Tim - The Long Run).
