Nice shots!  In the first picture, you appear to be floating a few inches off the floor; is that an effect of the Exploiter's tone?

Haha! Yeah, those two 15s behind me got me airborne.  ;)

as usual, a little late to teh party.  this professional stoner lifestyle uses a lot of my bandwidth lately.

this totally makes my day.  i'm [so glad that bass found a happy home and exposure to an audience!  i think she was trying to tell me for a long time it was time for both of us to move on.  and here i thought it was just me ;-)
Been down...now i'm out!

Just this minute discovered the video I did with Musical Youth earlier on in the year. The track was recorded for the current album "When Reggae Was King" and I played my black maple Europa 5 bass. The song originally was recorded live at a showcase gig at a local music college theatre. However there was a lot of spill into the mics and other technical issues everything was re-recorded in the studio except my bass line which was DI'd so came out in tact and clean. :-)

I only used the classico for the video because.... well.... why not. :-)

Enjoy.

Outstanding! What a groove.
Here is a picture i had drawn from one of the photos taken on the day.  My partner's sister is a professional caricature artist and just before Christmas i asked her to interpret one of the photos taken on the day. I then had some copies made and gave one each to the band.
enjoy.

Love it! Looks like a fun bunch to play music with too.

They are. I've been in the band as guitarist and bassist since late 2004. I did have a couple of years out when there was a reshuffle but then did a few gigs helping out on bass then got asked to stay.

Very nice, Songdog, does that have a maple core?

There's very little in this bass that's not maple! https://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=27285.msg279555#msg279555

It's incredibly responsive - it just seems like the notes come out faster than my other basses. And sustain for days. Is it the maple? Is it the electronics? In any case, it's a real delight to play. It sounds good through pretty much any amp. Hearing it through an Avalon U5, Neve console, and some nice headphones... well, you all can probably imagine how incredible that sounded.
