I hate to have to beg, but the Alembic community is so close, you all will understand my need.  I want to restore #74-124 to have three matching strap buttons.  It has two of the old Stars Guitars buttons on it, but I need one more for the bass.  If anyone out there has one of the old mushroom style strap buttons from the early 80's back, and you can part with it, please message me.  See attached photo.  I can Paypal the cost of the item and shipping.
Many thanks to all on the forum, and anyone who can help me out.

Offered in 4 finishes. If you need to age them try leaving them outside in the elements for a week or so :)

I am familiar with these.  They are not quite as robust as the originals, and aside from my OCD about matching parts, I am looking to keep the bass as authentic as possible.  Thanks for sharing.
Still hoping someone may have just one of these original hippie buttons.

Thanks for the heads-up on these Keith... I ordered a chrome set for 621 and a gold set for 14588. Ordinarily, both are fitted with Schaller straplocks, but I'm not playing out much, and these are such a cool vintage touch. I'll put them back in the case pocket when the time comes.  ;)

I hear ya' Trevor... sometimes you gotta' have just that thing... good luck in your search; if I had one to spare, 124 would be welcome to it.

Trevor, I looked in my stuff and found one.  PM me your address and I'll send it to you.

Greg, it's nice that Kluson offers those. They are pretty secure compared to the smaller buttons.

I wonder what the source was for the originals?  ???  They look a bit like drawer pulls for specialty toolboxes or jeweler's workbenches.

Unfortunately I am no longer employed where I had access to a lathe.
Made just the one (near the bottom of the page), had a dimensional drawing to work off of and a special drawer for the tools used....  que sera.

Since Trevor found an original Stars button needed to complete 74-124, thought I'd post what a set of the Kluson reproductions look like on my Custom fretless. I'll put my Schaller straplocks back on it, if/when I ever get back back out there onstage again, but these look pretty sweet, and plenty secure to plug up in the house here and annoy the good folks of Masons Cove.  :D

I have a chrome set coming for 77-621 too, (matches the machines... ::) ) but the vendor was currently out of stock. Something about a supply train. That must be one helluva train. Everything in the world is on it.
