Hi folks - recently I picked up a beautiful Spoiler and a unique Persuader in a trade. The Persuader and I have bonded, but the Quilted Maple Spoiler would like to find a new home. I'm open to trades toward a medium scale Series I or other Alembics, but I'm hoping that someone lurking this forum has a four string Ken Smith (especially a short scale one!) that they're ready to pass on.

Please see the pictures below and here in iCloud: https://www.icloud.com/photos/#00btdqE-1kJ5mnxbP2UvmyXlg

This bass is in really very good shape and the quilt is beautiful. There are a couple very small dings/marks that might polish out. The electronics are working as designed and it sounds wonderful. It has the two-position Q switch and I'd gotten a three position from Alembic but haven't gotten around to installing it. I can do so upon request, or I can include it with the bass for the new owner to install.

Please ask any questions you'd like to and I'm happy to hop on the phone, too.

Is this bass a medium scale, OJ?

Yes, Dan! Are you interested? You still have my number, right?

Ain't no such thing as a short scale Ken Smith.  They are all long scale.

You can think that. ;)

Here's one, btw: https://reverb.com/item/62820991-ken-smith-bespoke-flying-v-stanley-clarke-1981-natural

I recall seeing a picture of Stanley with that in a magazine.  Anything that doesn't look like a Brown Bass shaped instrument (or his upright) appears awkward.
