i'd have to do something pr3etty foolish to get this to the BeenDown estate, so i'm probably gonna hafta pass.  curses! :-(

Whoo00OO00ooo!

Been down...now i'm out!

If I owned it I would just set in a stand backwards and not even play it...  :o   The back side of that is museum quality... pure beauty.  8)

Either the bass has an identity crisis or the seller is unaware.
Advertised as "Alembic Signature Deluxe Series One 5 String" then in the details it is "Series 1 Electronics, Alembic AXY56 pickups"???
My guess would be it is a signature bass pre-prepped for upgrade to Series I.

Sweet looking bass though.

If you are the owner of this one. http://www.alembicguitars.net/info/fc_stella.html
That bass would be a nice match.
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

Boy, that description and the listed specs are extremely confusing.  I have no idea as to what the electronics are in this baby.  I agree with Pauldo that even if you didn't play bass or any other musical instrument this would be great hanging on a wall.  It has one of the most incredible backs I've ever seen.

A serial # request could clear up all doubt.  I would certainly require it with the $$$$ involved.

It does have a gorgeous back.

Looking at the write up the person who wrote it has no idea what type of electronics are in it nor what options are available from Alembic. Unless it had a Series prep I suspect it is a Series I.

Yes indeed, that's quite a striking piece of sculpture!  It's a straight up Series I with Q-switches, trimpots, p/u selector near the volume controls...  Description tells us the seller doesn't understand.  And, the previous owner is currently "looking for" the power supply and cable.  :o

Agreed, the description has grammatical nuances suggesting it was lifted from the Alembic site.  Plagiarized if you will.  ???

ha!  i'm a little surprised that it's still up for grabs.  i'm not really in the financial doldrums anymore, but in the meantime something way cooler dropped outta the sky, landed in my lap and started wiggling, so i hadda grab it.  so i'll pass.  but - if it were fretless i'd be on it like...like...a cheap suit.  yeah that's it!
Been down...now i'm out!

Not a bad price nowadays for a Swries I bass in that condition

The Reverb listing shows the bass is no longer available.
